Thomas Richter

Thomas Richter was born on 8 June 1966 in Ansbach. He studied law and French in France and Augsburg, worked for a law firm in Toronto and is a certified stock exchange trader and investment analyst DVFA/CEFA.

From 1995 to 1998, Thomas worked at Deutsche Börse AG and then in several executive positions at DWS until 2007. From 2007 to 2010, he was a member of the Executive Board of DWS and a member of the BVI Board. In 2010 he was appointed as CEO of BVI.

Thomas Richter is a member of the Administrative Council of BaFin, of ESMA’s Securities and Markets Stakeholder Group and of the Advisory Board for Financial Market Monitoring of the Verbraucherzentrale Bundesverband (vzbv). He is a board member of the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA) and also on the Board of the International Investment Funds Association (IIFA).

Rudolf Siebel

Rudolf Siebel was born on 13 January 1961 in Ingolstadt. He studied law in Giessen, Geneva and Georgetown (Washington, D.C.). From 1991 to 1993 he worked as a consultant for securities investment and international affairs at BVI, then from 1993 to 1998 as Vice President Senior Credit Officer at Moody's Deutschland GmbH. In 1998 he returned to BVI, where he has been Managing Director since 2003.

Rudolf Siebel represents the interests of the fund industry on the Advisory Board of BaFin. He is Board Member of the German Asset Management Standards Committee (GAMSC) for the promotion of GIPS standards.
